Baseball Game Preview: Pensacola Christian Academy Warriors vs. Atmore Christian Rams

Pensacola Christian Academy has gone a perfect 7-0 against Atmore Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Warriors will be playing at home against the Rams at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pensacola Christian Academy has four straight victories, Atmore Christian has 26 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Tuesday, Pensacola Christian Academy needed a bit of extra time to put away Aletheia Christian Academy. They won by a run and slipped past the Lions 5-4.

Micah Gettle was excellent, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydon McClure, who went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Atmore Christian lost 18-1 to Aletheia Christian Academy on Thursday.

Atmore Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Landis, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one run.

Pensacola Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Atmore Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-14.

Atmore Christian's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Pensacola Christian Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Atmore Christian, though, as they've been averaging only 3.4 strikeouts. Will Pensacola Christian Academy keep running through batters, or will the Rams buck the trend?
