Belleville East had won five straight home games and Keegan Rose did his part to make it six on Tuesday. The Lancers came out on top against the Alton Redbirds by a score of 2-0 with plenty of help from Rose, who had eight digs and three aces. He is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 16 or more in each of the last five games he's played.

Belleville East easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-11.

Belleville East has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. As for Alton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-18.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Belleville East will square off against O'Fallon at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Lancers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Alton, they will challenge Collinsville at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
