Softball Recap: Chapel Hill Comes Up Short

Chapel Hill scored first but ultimately less than Northern Durham in their game on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 7-5. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Jillian Evans was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. That run marked the first that she scored this season. Charlie Carter was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Chapel Hill now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Northern Durham, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Chapel Hill is set to square off against their familiar foe Hillside at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Northern Durham will challenge rival Jordan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
