Basketball Game Preview: West Ranch Wildcats vs. Gahr Gladiators

Having just played yesterday, the West Ranch Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Gahr Gladiators at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

West Ranch is headed into Saturday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They took an 80-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of Metairie Park Country Day. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 388th in California, while the Cajuns are ranked 27th in Louisiana).

Meanwhile, Gahr was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 60-59 to Saint Mary's. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (55), the Gladiators still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for Gahr and nudges their season record down to 7-6. As for West Ranch, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
