Baseball Recap: Camelback Takes a Loss

Camelback was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Kellis Cougars, falling 16-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 24-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2019.

Camelback saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jhonny Ramirez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Camelback's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Kellis, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Camelback didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 14-0 defeat against Skyline on the 3rd. As for Kellis, they will welcome Buckeye at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Kellis will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
