Basketball Recap: Monday's Loss Ends Princeton's Winning Streak

Princeton lost against Ottawa back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Princeton Tigers took a 54-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ottawa Pirates. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Pirates are ranked 75th).

With the loss, Princeton broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-9. As for Ottawa, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-7.

Princeton and Seneca will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Ottawa, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Normal University at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
