Basketball Preview: Rosman Tigers vs. Madison Patriots
Rosman is 7-1 against Madison since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Rosman Tigers will challenge the Madison Patriots at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
It was a proper cat-fight when Rosman challenged Mountain Heritage two weeks ago. Rosman was outmatched by Mountain Heritage and fell 63-24. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 385th, while the Cougars are ranked 108th).

Despite the loss, Rosman had strong showings from Makynna McDonald, who posted six points and five steals, and Marlee Carnathan, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 13 points in addition to four blocks and three steals. Carnathan has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played.
Meanwhile, Madison didn't have quite enough to beat East Davidson on Saturday and fell 41-38.
Madison has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Rosman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.
