After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Ridge, Coral Reef was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Oakleaf Knights as they made off with a 6-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Barracudas, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Quinley Wylie made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sierra Johnson, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season.

Coral Reef pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Oakleaf, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.

Coral Reef wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Palm Beach Gardens on the 4th. As for Oakleaf, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 8-5 loss against Viera on the 4th.
