Basketball Recap: Skyline Sets Scoring Season-High Against West

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Skyline). They walked away with a 71-64 victory over the West Panthers on Friday. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won eight in a row.

Skyline's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cameron Wilson led the charge by going 6 for 11 en route to 15 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Andrew Lindquist, who went 5 of 11 to rack up 15 points.

West lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Saladi Maluak, who went 7 for 15 on his way to 18 points and five rebounds. Phillip Ladua was another key player, going 5 of 9 en route to 11 points and eight boards.

Skyline's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Highland the next time they take the court. Skyline will host Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while West will host them at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th.
