Football Recap: West Texas Takes Down Cisco in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

With a playoff win on the line, West Texas rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past the Cisco Loboes 48-22. Considering the Comanches have won nine matchups by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Cayde Winters, who rushed for 216 yards and four scores while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, and also threw for 149 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 11th straight game with at least 146 rushing yards. Kooper Hernandez was another major influence, as he rushed for 59 yards and ran in a TD.

The victory keeps West Texas at an undefeated 14-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 46.0 points this season. As for Cisco, the defeat snapped their winning streak at 12 games and leaves them with a 12-2 record.

Coming up, West Texas will square off against Hamilton at 6:58 a.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 11.7 points per game this season, so the Comanches' offense will have their work cut out for them. Cisco does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
