Soccer Recap: Middletown Falls Short Against Ranked East Providence

Middletown faced East Providence in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Islanders fell 3-1 to the Townies. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Middletown couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Taylor Bridges, who's now up to five this season.

With the loss, Middletown broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2. As for East Providence, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-0-1.
