Ridgeview extends road losing streak to 17

Recap: Ridgeview Panthers vs. Yulee Hornets

The Ridgeview Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 12th straight loss. They were outmatched by Yulee on the road and fell 71-33. Ridgeview was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-19.

Ridgeview lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Justyn Cappas, who scored eight points.

Yulee was led to victory by Ace Walker and Alex Naumow. Walker almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds, while Naumow scored 17 points. It was the first time this season that Walker pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nigel Smith, who scored 12 points.

Ridgeview's loss was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Yulee, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.

Ridgeview will be playing at home against the Wolfpack at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wolfson presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Panthers in Florida (the Wolfpack are ranked 285th, while the Panthers are ranked 705th). As for Yulee, they will head out on the road to take on the Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Englewood has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
