Basketball Recap: Jasper Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Jasper and Cullman squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Jasper had to settle for second. They took a 61-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cullman Bearcats. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 38-28 last Monday.

Despite the loss, Jasper still got an impressive performance from Marianna Rigsby, who went 6 for 12 on her way to 26 points and five rebounds. Those 26 points gave Rigsby a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Taniya Windham, who posted 11 points.

Jasper's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-12. As for Cullman, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-14.

As of now, neither Jasper nor Cullman have any future games scheduled.
