Softball Game Preview: Henry-Senachwine Mallards vs. St. Bede Bruins

Henry-Senachwine is 0-5 against St. Bede since March of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Mallards will look to defend their home field against the Bruins at 4:30 p.m. Henry-Senachwine will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

On Monday, Henry-Senachwine needed a bit of extra time to put away Stark County. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Rebels, sneaking past 8-7.

Meanwhile, St. Bede unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 9-5 to Marquette.

Lily Bosnich was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

Henry-Senachwine pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for St. Bede, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 11-6.

Henry-Senachwine couldn't quite finish off St. Bede in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can the Mallards avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
