Softball Recap: Weyauwega-Fremont Warhawks vs. Amherst Falcons

Weyauwega-Fremont might've scored the first runs on Thursday, but it was Amherst who claimed the real prize. The Weyauwega-Fremont Warhawks fell just short of the Amherst Falcons by a score of 6-4. Weyauwega-Fremont has not had much luck with Amherst recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Olivia Witkowski put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and three unearned) runs off eight hits. Witkowski was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Riley Delwiche was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
