Softball Recap: Kewanee Comes Up Short

Kewanee came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Beecher Bobcats, falling 11-2. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Boilermakers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Kewanee's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Beecher, the win keeps they at an undefeated 20-0.

Looking ahead, Kewanee will head out on the road to face off against Princeton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Beecher, they will head out to challenge Pontiac at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Indians' pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so the Bobcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
