Softball Recap: Corvian Community Cardinals vs. Mountain Island Charter Raptors
Corvian Community lost against Mountain Island Charter last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cardinals lost 20-5 to the Raptors. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emily Johnson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole five bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played. Amaree Joines was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Corvian Community's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Mountain Island Charter, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season.
Corvian Community and Mountain Island Charter will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matches. The next time the Cardinals see the field they'll take on Langtree Charter Academy at 4:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
