Despite the loss, Ridge Community saw an underclassman step up: A. Benoit scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Benoit has scored all season.
Davenport's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. As for Ridge Community, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Davenport won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. Central presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Davenport in Florida (Central is ranked 121st, while Davenport is ranked 243rd). Ridge Community won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Fort Meade at 5:00 p.m. on January 12th. Fort Meade's defense has only allowed 27 points per game this season, so Ridge Community's offense will have their work cut out for them.
