Basketball Game Preview: Woodstock North Thunder vs. Johnsburg Skyhawks

Woodstock North and Johnsburg are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2019, but not for long. The Woodstock North Thunder will square off against the Johnsburg Skyhawks at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Woodstock North has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Johnsburg will arrive with four straight wins.

Last Monday, Woodstock North came up short against Harvard and fell 60-47.

Meanwhile, Johnsburg didn't have too much trouble with Lakes on Monday as they won 54-39. That's two games straight that the Skyhawks have won by exactly 15 points.

Woodstock North's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Johnsburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Woodstock North took a serious blow against Johnsburg in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 64-25. Can Woodstock North avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
