Softball Recap: Lincoln County Falcons vs. Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers
Lincoln County stacked an 18th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They never let the Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers onto the board and left with a 6-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lincoln County also won the last time the pair played back in April.
Mia Brown was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Brown has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive pitching appearances. Brown was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Hallie Meeks was excellent, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Ava Harris, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.
On Warren County's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kora Forbes, who went 1-for-3 with a double.
Lincoln County has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 26-12 record this season. As for Warren County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.
