Baseball Recap: Silver Creek Starts Season with Victory Against Westminster

Silver Creek took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Westminster Wolves with a sharp 19-9 win. The Raptors not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2024.

Nate Spiegel was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nathen Canfield, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Silver Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westminster only posted an OBP of .400.

Having lost for the first time this season, Westminster fell to 2-1.

Looking ahead, Silver Creek is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Golden at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Westminster, they will face off against Conifer at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
