De Pere is 9-1 against Green Bay Preble since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Redbirds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (De Pere 2.9, Green Bay Preble 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Green Bay Preble will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: De Pere extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday. The Redbirds walked away with a 7-4 win over Pulaski.

Isaac Poehlman was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over four innings pitched. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one double. That triple was his first of the season.
Poehlman wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Mason Sequin, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Sequin has posted since back in April. Another was Max Cavanaugh, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
De Pere was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pulaski only posted a batting average of .185.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday Green Bay Preble sidestepped Sheboygan North for a 5-3 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hornets have posted against the Golden Raiders since May 28, 2021.
The team relied heavily on Carlos Prado, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI.
Green Bay Preble's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for De Pere, their victory bumped their record up to 14-2.
De Pere was able to grind out a solid win over Green Bay Preble in their previous matchup back in April, winning 9-6. Do the Redbirds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
