Softball Recap: Deweyville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Spurger last Tuesday, Deweyville came back down to earth. The Pirates came up short against the Silsbee Tigers on Monday, falling 7-1.

Deweyville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Baylee Smith, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Deweyville's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Silsbee, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-11 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Deweyville will face off against Milano at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Silsbee, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Madisonville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
