Football Recap: Lowell Catholic Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lowell Catholic lost against Whittier RVT back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Crusaders lost 36-12 to the Wildcats.

Whittier RVT's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Josh Rutherford led the charge by rushing for 55 yards and one touchdown. Noah Allen was another key rusher, rushing for 57 yards and one score on only six carries.

Lowell Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Whittier RVT, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Lowell Catholic will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against East Boston at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th. As for Whittier RVT, they will venture away from home to square off against Salem at 6:30 p.m. on the 26th.
