Baseball Game Preview: Fredericksburg Christian Eagles vs. Steward Spartans

Fredericksburg Christian hasn't had much luck against Steward recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eagles will square off against the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. Fredericksburg Christian has given up an average of 10.2 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Trinity Christian hit Fredericksburg Christian with a four-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles came up short against the Gryphons, falling 11-2. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Steward didn't have quite enough to beat Nansemond-Suffolk Academy on Tuesday and fell 4-2. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Saints recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Steward's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Fredericksburg Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-13-1.

Fredericksburg Christian couldn't quite get it done against Steward when the teams last played back in March of 2024 as they fell 7-4. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
