Baseball Recap: Tempe Prep's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Tempe Prep had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the ALA - Anthem South Titans on Thursday.

Will Drescher spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Carlos Gastelum, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Sampson, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-4.

Tempe Prep's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-7. As for ALA - Anthem South, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
