Softball Recap: Sweeny Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Sweeny's offense. They lost 6-0 to the Ball Tornadoes on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Bulldogs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Sweeny saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mckaela Lindsey, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Lindsey has hit this season.

Sweeny's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Ball, they moved to 6-10 with that win, which also ended their six-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, Sweeny will be taking part in a tournament against St. Paul at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Ball, they will take on Palacios in a tournament on Saturday.
