Recap: Ursuline Academy Bears vs. Bishop Lynch Friars
It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Ursuline Academy Bears ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They secured a 64-58 W over Bishop Lynch. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Ursuline Academy had a senior duo take command as Madelyne Davis scored 18 points along with five assists and five rebounds and Izzy Schroeder scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schroeder has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Lucy Devlin, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Ursuline Academy has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Bishop Lynch, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-12.
Ursuline Academy will be playing at home against Nolan Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Nolan Catholic is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Bishop Lynch, they will head out on the road to challenge Prestonwood Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Prestonwood Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
