The home team had won the previous three meetings between Mexico and Homer, and Mexico kept the tradition alive. The Tigers came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 7-4 on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Evan Hansen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up four earned runs off ten hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Anthony Farrell was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Carson Race was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Mexico has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.2 runs over those games. As for Homer, they dropped their record down to 2-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

As for Homer, they will challenge Ithaca at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Trojans 3.5, the Little Red 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
