Patrick Henry strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on the Kalida Wildcats with a sharp 22-3 victory. While the Patriots didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Mariah Boyer made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. Boyer was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. She also put up a triple, which was her first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kasey Nelson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Brooke Scherdt, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Patrick Henry always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kalida only posted an OBP of .348.

Patrick Henry's record now sits at 4-0. As for Kalida, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Patrick Henry has already played their next match, a 12-11 win against Miller City on the 31st. As for Kalida, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, an 18-3 defeat against Lima Senior on the 31st.
