Basketball Recap: Chattahoochee County Skates Past Columbus with Ease

Chattahoochee County won against Brookstone on Friday with 69 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Panthers blew past the Columbus Blue Devils, posting a 69-34 victory. That 35 point margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.

Chattahoochee County had a senior duo take command as Curtis (Champ ) Simpson went 5-for-12 on his way to 16 points in addition to six steals and five assists and Javen Tullis shot 50% from the field to rack up 16 points and three steals. With that strong performance, Simpson is now averaging an impressive 2.5 steals per game. A'Nyzhon (Bam) Purnell was another key player, putting up eight points along with five boards and five steals.

Chattahoochee County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January.
