Basketball Recap: Brown Comes Up Short

Brown lost against Eminence back in December of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Brown Bears took a blow against the Eminence Warriors, falling 57-17. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Eminence found their leader in freshman Victoria Spiegl, who went 6 for 8 en route to 15 points and four blocks. Spiegl is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 28 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Smith, who went 6 of 13 on her way to 12 points and three steals.

Brown's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Eminence, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-11.

Looking ahead, Brown will be playing at home against Portland Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Eminence, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 73-46 defeat against Owen County on the 8th.
