Football Game Preview: Sasakwa Vikings vs. Midway Chargers

The Sasakwa Vikings will take on the Midway Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sasakwa knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Midway likes a good challenge.

Sasakwa is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Maud: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Vikings blew the Tigers out of the water with a 52-6 final score. With the Vikings ahead 38-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Titan Collins produced another solid performance picking up 192 receiving yards and three scores. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 105 receiving yards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Thaddeus Harjo, who threw for 209 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes.

Sasakwa was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 226 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 226 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Sasakwa's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB seven times. The heavy lifting was done by Titus Collins and Fayv Mack, who racked up four sacks between them. Ayden Livesay got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Midway had to suffer through a 58-6 loss at the hands of Paoli.

Midway's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Sasakwa, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Sasakwa against Midway when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 62-0 win. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chargers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
