BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. -
Brother Rice (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) captured the lead in the fourth quarter and held on for a 26-24 victory over
De La Salle Collegiate (Warren, Mich.) on Saturday. The Warriors took the lead for good when
Alex Malzone thew a touchdown to
Jason Alessi.
The Pilots pulled ahead on a
Gio Rescigno touchdown run, and subsequently went into halftime leading 17-10. The Warriors scored the winning points with a touchdown pass by Malzone to Alessi that came in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring three points in the third, Brother Rice still trailed by four points going into the fourth quarter. But 13 points in the fourth helped BR pull out the victory.

The defeat comes as a step back for De La Salle Collegiate, which notched a 42-14 victory over Chandler Park Academy in its previous outing. With the win the Bloomfield Hills school extended its winning streak to four games.
Brother Rice (4-0) goes up against Catholic Central in a Catholic Central game matchup next week, while De La Salle Collegiate (1-3) locks horns with St. Mary Prep also in a Catholic Central game.
