Volleyball Recap: Whitefield Academy Comes Up Short

Whitefield Academy managed to slip by Heritage Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Lions lost 3-0 to the Eagles on Thursday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Lions haven't been shut out since back in August.

While Whitefield Academy ultimately came up short, they really made Heritage Christian work, particularly in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-19, 25-9.

This is the second loss in a row for Whitefield Academy and nudges their season record down to 9-5. As for Heritage Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Whitefield Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Heritage Christian, they will take on New Hope Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
