 The Ellwood City Wolverine will head out on the road to  square off against  the Mohawk Area Warriors at 4:15  p.m.  on Monday. Both teams are coming into the  game red-hot, with Ellwood City sitting on  five straight  victories and Mohawk Area on four.
 Last Friday, Ellwood City had just enough and edged Hopewell out  7-6.
  Amber McQuistion spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned  (and two unearned) runs on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in seven consecutive pitching appearances.

 In other batting news,  Mylie Pistorius was a standout: she went 2-for-2 with two  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI.  Alivia Hare was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.
 Ellwood City pushed their record up to 10-1 with that  win, which was their fourth straight  on the road. As for Mohawk Area, their record is now 6-1.
 Monday's   matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Ellwood City has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .476.
