Softball Recap: Brunswick Triumphs

Brunswick saw some tournament action on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Holy Name Green Wave 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.

Gabby Diligente tossed a big game, tossing 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Abbey Nemec, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Brunswick's record now sits at 9-7. As for Holy Name, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season.

Brunswick will be playing at home against Maumee at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. As for Holy Name, they will head out to challenge Perrysburg at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
