Soccer Game Preview: Rubidoux vs. Kaiser

The Rubidoux Falcons will venture away from home to challenge the Kaiser Cats at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Rubidoux is likely headed into the game with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Rialto on Monday. Rubidoux took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rialto. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 690th, while the Knights are ranked 33rd).

Meanwhile, Kaiser's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Friday. They fell just short of Colony by a score of 2-1. The loss was the Cats' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Kaiser fell to 3-1. As for Rubidoux, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6-1.

Rubidoux might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from Kaiser when the teams last played back in January of 2018. Can Rubidoux avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
