Volleyball Recap: Chandler Prep Comes Up Short

Chandler Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arizona Lutheran Academy Coyotes. The Titans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Coyotes from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Chandler Prep started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-23, 25-15, 25-17.

Roxy Mason paced Chandler Prep's offense, picking up eight kills. Mason got some help from Bria Ames and her 14 assists. Ames also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Hannah Fox, each putting up two.

Arizona Lutheran Academy found their leader in freshman Sarah Ortiz, who had 11 digs.

Chandler Prep's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Arizona Lutheran Academy, their victory ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 11-21.

Chandler Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against San Carlos on the 14th. As for Arizona Lutheran Academy, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Tempe Prep on the 14th.
