Manitou Springs lost against Lamar back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs lost 3-0 to the Thunder. The Mustangs' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-16.

Aleia McBride paced Manitou Springs' offense, picking up 12 kills. McBride got some help from Natalie Gore and her 25 assists. Gore also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Nadia Falton, each putting up two.

Manitou Springs' loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Lamar, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Coming up, Manitou Springs will host Colorado Springs Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lamar, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against Merino on the 18th.
