Recap: Cummings Cavaliers vs. Seaforth Hawks
The Cummings Cavaliers waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with an 80-67 victory over Seaforth. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Ja'Kari Dobbins, who scored 27 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ja'Kway Robertson, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Despite the loss, Seaforth still got an impressive performance from Nate Emerson, who scored 26 points along with three steals. Noah Lewis was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists.
Cummings' win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Seaforth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-11.
Cummings will be playing at home against Graham at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Graham has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 22. As for Seaforth, they will head out on the road to challenge Chatham Central at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chatham Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 210 points over their last three matches.
