Chesterton has gone 9-1 against Lake Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Chesterton Trojans will host the Lake Central Indians at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Saturday, everything went Chesterton's way against Hobart as Chesterton made off with a 64-40 victory. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while the Brickies are ranked 289th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Lake Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They snuck past 21st Century Charter with a 67-62 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Chesterton now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Lake Central, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10.

Chesterton didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Lake Central when the teams last played back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 55-51 win. Does Chesterton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Lake Central turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
