It was a good run, but Bald Knob unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to the White County Central Bears. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won 50-42.

Bald Knob's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for White County Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bald Knob and Newport will meet in a canine-themed contest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for White County Central, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mt. Vernon-Enola at 5:00 p.m. on January 7th.
