Baseball Game Preview: Hattiesburg Tigers vs. Pearl River Central Blue Devils

For the second straight game, Hattiesburg will face off against Pearl River Central. The Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hattiesburg is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Hattiesburg took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over Pearl River Central. Considering the Tigers have won nine matches by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Amari Hill spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on four hits.

At the plate, Hattiesburg let Ramarion Wilson and Tyler Weatherspoon run wild. Wilson scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Weatherspoon scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
