Baseball Recap: New Lisbon Comes Up Short

New Lisbon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 13-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillsboro Tigers. Even if the Rockets couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

New Lisbon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Hillsboro, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-5.

Coming up, New Lisbon will face off against Necedah at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Rockets are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Hillsboro, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 17-0 loss against Bangor on the 16th.
