Dujuan Armwood leads a balanced attack to beat Rosewood

Recap: North Duplin Rebels vs. Rosewood Eagles

Even though the North Duplin Rebels have not done well against the Rosewood Eagles recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. North Duplin came out on top against Rosewood by a score of 46-38. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points North Duplin has scored all year.

North Duplin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dujuan Armwood, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Luke Kelly, who scored six points.

Despite the loss, Rosewood saw an underclassman step up: Dj Deal dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Deal has scored all season.

The win was the third in a row for North Duplin, bringing their record for this year to 7-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Rosewood, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Duplin will take on Hobbton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully North Duplin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
