Baseball Recap: Erie Comes Up Short

Erie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Harbor Creek Huskies, falling 11-3. The Royals were not able to make up for their defeat to the Huskies from their previous meeting back in April of 2022.

Erie saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cameron Barnes, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Erie's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Harbor Creek, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Erie will host McDowell at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Trojans' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Royals' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Harbor Creek has already played their next game (against Central Tech), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
