With a playoff win on the line, Guerin Catholic rose to the challenge on Monday. They never let the Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Braves get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The victory was nothing new for the Golden Eagles as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Tate Troxell tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Guerin Catholic saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Kail, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Guerin Catholic's win bumped their record up to 24-3-1. As for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, their loss dropped their record down to 14-12.
