Basketball Recap: Jordan Houston Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Boone

Lake Mary proved they can win big last Monday (they won by 36) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Boone Braves 46-44.

Lake Mary's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Houston, who posted four points. The dominant performance also gave Houston a new career-high in assists (three). Chase Hinshaw was another key player, putting up nine points.

Boone's loss came despite strong showings from Connor Summer and Joan Orta. Summer went 6 for 12 en route to 14 points and six rebounds, while Orta went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points and five boards. Orta is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tremaine Woods, who earned three points.

The victory got Lake Mary back to even at 12-12. As for Boone, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-13.
