Softball Recap: Lake Forest Takes a Loss

Lake Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 20-2 to the Zion-Benton Zee-Bees, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Zee-Bees this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-2 on Thursday.

Lake Forest saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bernahl Natalie, who went 2-for-3 with two triples and two runs.

Lake Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Zion-Benton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2-1.

Lake Forest has already played their next match, a 15-0 loss against Grayslake North on the 19th. As for Zion-Benton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-0 defeat against Libertyville on the 21st.
